to visit it’s often difficult knowing where to
begin.
If you’re stuck for a starting point the best
advice can be obtained from a Tourist Information
Centre.
Friendly staff are on hand to answer your queries and
offer their knowledge on everything from the best ghost
walks in the city to the best route to take along the
Walls.
This is the place for maps, guides, gifts and merchandise.
There’s also a wide range of brochures and accommodation
information available in a variety of different languages.

The Central Library is also a good
place to start if you want to investigate York’s
history further. The Library is located at Museum Street,
York.
For sending postcards home or getting travellers cheques
the main post office is on Lendal Street. |
