GO monks cross shopping centre

Just outside of the city centre is a secret that only York residents seem to know about: The Monks Cross Shopping Centre.

This shopping centre is the perfect way to escape the crowds and offers high street shopping in an out of town location.

Famous names like Miss Selfridge, HMV, Boots and TopShop line the American mall-style centre. There’s a range of eateries including the ever popular McDonalds and Burger King. You’ll also find a dedicated children’s area called The Magic Tree Garden, a great place to leave the children in safety whilst you shop.

If you’re looking for groceries there’s a large Asda and a new addition to the mall with the introduction of Marks and Spencer Simply Food – the perfect place to pick up some fine cuisine for a luxurious night in.

As you’d expect from such a modern shopping centre there’s ample parking spaces and facilities for those with disabilities, including available wheelchairs to hire.

Getting there by road:
From Scarborough and Malton
Follow the A64 signed York to the first roundabout.
Turn RIGHT signed York.
Turn LEFT at the next roundabout (A1036 & Monks Cross South)
At the next roundabout turn Right to Monks Cross Shopping Park.

From Harrogate and the A1 (North)
Follow the A59 signed York to the first roundabout.
Turn LEFT onto the A1237.
Go straight on until you see the sign for Monks Cross Shopping Park then turn right.

From York and the A1 (South)
Follow the A64 signed York.
Continue to follow the A 64 to the first roundabout (approx 20 miles)
Turn LEFT signed York.
Turn LEFT at the next roundabout (A1036 and Monks Cross South).
At the next roundabout turn RIGHT to Monks Cross Shopping Park
