There’s
more than meets the eye to dining in York. From the traditional

This award-winning restaurant is just a few minutes from York’s many tourist attractions and has an impressive reputation. Aside from famous brasserie lunches that offer such delicacies as smoked salmon and wild mushroom and onion tart, there’s also a fantastic menu of evening meals and mouth-watering desserts, and if none of that appeals or you’re on a particular diet such as gluten-free the chef will create a meal just for you. For those in search of the exotic, York has a range of Indian and Chinese restaurants. One of the area's top takeaways is the Mogul Indian Restaurant [map], located at Toft Green. Whether you like your curry hot or prefer a mild Korma the Mogul caters for a range of tastes right down to the most delicate.
