Dating in York |

If you’re
bored or lonely it’s time to plan your visit to
York and check out the places to be seen and the people
to be seen with.
There’s a range of swanky bars in the city centre
and most of them are great places to meet the man or
woman of your dreams.
To set the mood you should pay a visit to The Pitcher
and Piano [map],
Coney Street, or The City Screen [map] bar next door, for romantic views across the river. These
bars are both frequented by the more discerning customer
and if you’re after brains as well as beauty this
is the place to do your searching.
If brains nor beauty appeals and you’re just interested
in the cash, the beautiful folk of York tend to hang out
at Casa [map],
Low Ousegate, and The Slug and Lettuce [map],
The Courtyard, York. Here’s your chance to meet
a media type or one of York’s stressed out solicitors.
There’s also the option of popping over to the racecourse at Knavesmire in the hope of meeting a millionaire or
member of The Royal Family.
So, it’s getting late and you’ve still not
met that special person, why not drop by Edwards [map],
George Hudson Street, which is one of the few bars in
York to stay open until midnight. Perhaps you’ll
find your perfect match although with beer goggles provided
he or she might not be as great as you think.
If all else fails Hydrodate, the UK’s most
famous speed dating agency, is planning to introduce speed
dating to the good people of York very soon.
