Vegetarian In West London |
 |
 |
Vegetarians and
vegans travelling to or staying in West London will be
pleasantly surprised by the range of non-meat cuisine
on offer.
Your first port of call should be the delectable offerings
of Blah! Blah! Blah! [map] located at Goldhawk Road.
Attracting veggies, vegans and out and out carnivores
with a fusion of quality ingredients, Blah! Blah! Blah!
is renowned throughout London.
Reasonably priced dishes and a warm and friendly atmosphere
make for a comfortable dining experience.
The tempting menu consists of an extensive range of starters
and mains, and some tempting puddings and ice cream for
those with a sweet tooth. Starters include vegetable tempura,
saffron crespellini and grilled halloumi. There’s
a strong selection of main courses including mixed mushroom
galette, chickpea massalla and tagliatelle.
If you’re looking for a really different dining
experience head to The Gate [map],
Queen Caroline Street, Hammersmith, which is one of London’s
premier vegetarian restaurants.
This converted artist’s studio in Hammersmith has
been established for 11 years and was the brainchild of
brothers Adrian and Michael Daniels.
With a strong Indo-Iraqi influence there’s some
extraordinarily different dishes here including grilled
haloumi salad on a butterbean salsa and a range of pasta
and curry dishes.
Thai Nice [map] is a perfect restaurant to bring the whole family together.
Located at Acton Hill, this stunning little venue offers
great food and friendly staff. What makes it particularly
attractive is the fact that children and babies are given
such a warm welcome. The menu includes such treats as
chilli bean curd, mushroom salad with Thai herbs and spicy
dressing, and jungle curry. There’s also plenty
to satisfy the needs of hungry meat eaters.
Fast food is something that isn’t associated with
vegetarians and vegans, but Red Veg [map],
Dean Street, have changed all that by offering a McDonald’s
style eatery that’s brimming with healthy veggie
options. With a counter at one end and cafeteria-style
tables this is ideal if you’re on the move or fancy
a break from the shopping.
Choose from a menu that includes burgers, fries, falafel
and veggie nuggets, all cooked in vegetable or sunflower
oil.
