There's plenty to do in West London when you're at a loose
end, there's museums, art galleries and more. But for
places that let you enjoy the West London world around
you, we have a few suggestions...
Why not indulge some stunning views and culinary treats
at The Roof Gardens [map].
Located more than 100 metres above South Kensington High
Street this restaurant is a great place to simply relax
and enjoy a different West London perspective over Sunday
lunch.
Being outdoors when the weather is fine can be a great
way to spend an hour or a whole afternoon and in West
London, and Holland Park [map] gives you a number of options. You could play frisbee
in the open spaces, wander around the wooded walks or
read a book in the secluded pavilions. There may also
be the opportunity to catch an open air performance there
in the summer.
For a more hands on interaction with nature why not try
the Lookout Environmental Centre [map],
Rangers Lodge, Hyde Park. This is an usual venue, which
helps you to think a little more eco-friendly, but could
still be a fun option for something to do in the area.
Another option for indoor interest and outdoor distractions
is Boston Manor House [map].
Inside this Jacobean manor you'll find historic decor
and paintings, while outside there's beautiful parkland
with a lake and ancient cedar trees. An ideal option if
you want to get away from it all for a few hours.
