in West London with some top venues awaiting your arrival.
One of West London’s most famous green spaces comes
alive every few weeks with some of the best music events
in the world.
Hyde Park [map],
Park Lane, plays host to a number of festivals including BBC Proms In The Park, Party In The Park,
and The Pride Festival. There’s also gigs
from popular bands including The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, The Thrills, and Groove Armada.
If you like your beats smooth and swinging head to the
famous Bluejay Jazz Lounge [map],
Uxbridge Road. Groovy cats head here to enjoy fine food
and an ambient atmosphere, so get that Martini ready and
settle down to enjoy some happening sounds.
A packed programme of some of the best jazz in the UK
includes appearances from the likes of Anna Jacyszyn,
the Geoff Castle Trio, and The Leo Green Experience.
Head out to Kingston Upon Thames for a programme
of punk-a-thon’s that will immediately have you
reminiscing or rediscovering the 1980s. The Peel [map],
Hampden Road, hosts regular Household Name Records nights
which are packed with the latest punk, rock and goth talent.
With something to suit every musical taste The Notting
Hill Arts Club [map] has a brimming programme of excellent acts and bands appearing
on every night of the week. Most popular evenings include Inspiration Information which is dedicated to soul,
jazz, funk and hip hop, Lazy Dog – a deep house
experience featuring talented resident DJs Ben Watt and
Jay Hannan - and Rota which is an afternoon gig featuring
live DJs. The Notting Hill Arts Club is based at Notting
Hill Gate.
