like West London is bound to be brimming with exotic
restaurants so it’s no wonder that you’ll
be spoilt for choice with the vast range on offer.
An increasingly popular restaurant that has a growing
reputation for excellent cuisine is Patogh [map],
Crawford Place, Marylebone. This small Iranian restaurant is a real experience. The food is perfectly flavoured
and combines authentic and traditional dishes with more
unusual Iranian treats.
One great restaurant on the scene is E & O [map],
Blenheim Crescent, Notting Hill. In one of London’s
most fashionable areas this restaurant plays host to a
number of famous diners. There’s an inviting selection
of Oriental tapas style dishes on offer which are
all delicately flavoured so that you can really taste
every mouthful.
Don’t be put off by the name, Trader Vic’s [map] is an extremely classy restaurant located at the Hilton
Hotel, Park Lane. The Polynesian themed bar is great fun
and designed to look like a bamboo beach house. If you’re
in a party mood or in need of a first class cocktail,
then this is the place for you.
Go for a taste of North Africa with a visit to Momo [map],
Heddon Street, Mayfair. One of the best themed restaurants
in West London this venue blends Moroccan luxury with some great western-style cocktails and fantastic
music to boot.
The very chic head to the den of iniquity: Opium [map],
which is based at Dean Street, Soho. Opium is all about
flamboyant luxury and there’s a definite air of
sophistication about the venue. Choose from a selection
of French/Vietnamese dishes and soak up the dark
and moody atmosphere.
Fans of sushi and Japanese cuisine still
head to Nobu [map] in their droves. Nobu, Old Park Lane, has been a major
player in the sushi scene since its opening. Choose from
a great menu of cuisine including plenty for vegetarians
and seafood lovers. There’s also an extensive beverage
list that includes Asian beers and various sake.
If you fancy sitting shoulder to shoulder with some
of Britain’s top celebrities while sampling a
meal to die for then this is the place for you.
