Comedy In West London |
 |
 |
Whether you like traditional comedy or prefer the alternative
performers you’re sure to find something to tickle
your fancy in West London.
One of the most unusual comedy clubs in London is located
at Ginglik [map],
Club On The Green, Shepherds Bush Green. The comedy night
here, called Laugh, gets full marks for not always
centring the jokes around the fact that Ginglik used to
be a public convenience. Top acts appear here as well
as newer fresher faced comedians. The atmosphere is warm
and comfortable.
The Laughing Horse comedy chain has a West London
venue at The Coach and Horses [map],
Great Marlborough Street. Here you can see some of the
UK’s best established comedians.
If you’re in the mood for a bit of light hearted
cabaret head to The Canal Café [map],
Bridge House Pub, Delamere Terrace, not only is this venue
a great place for a hearty meal and a good laugh, there’s
also some excellent views across the river.
There’s always someone in the audience heckling:
“I could do your job mate”. If this sounds
like you, perhaps it’s time to get yourself down
to The Hop Poles [map],
King Street, for the Take The Mike night which
gives members of the public, as well as professional comedians,
the chance to show everyone what they’re made of.
That winning combination of alcohol and side-splitting
comedy is bringing the house down at The Oxford Street
Comedy Club [map],
The Wheatsheaf, Rathbone Place. This is a great place
to visit if you like spotting the stars of the future.
