Fine Dining In Stratford-Upon-Avon |
 |
 |
If you’re
keen to enjoy the high life in one of Stratford-Upon-Avon’s
best restaurants or you’re celebrating a special
occasion, you’ll find a good range of special
restaurants in the area to suit your taste.
One of the most popular restaurants in Stratford is The Vinter [map] on Sheep Street. This beautiful restaurant was once
an off license and is rumoured to have been a regular
haunt of a certain Mr Shakespeare. Today the Tudor building
contains a café bar, restaurant and private dining
area and is usually packed with people who have heard
about The Vinter’s excellent reputation.
Choose from three menus each containing half a dozen
or so dishes. The Brunch Menu is perfect for
those in a hurry or who desire a light snack, whilst
the pre-theatre menu is ideal for those keen
to get away in time to see a show.
If you’re looking for a country idyll, you’d
be hard pressed to find anything more chocolate box
picturesque than The Howard Arms [map] in Ilmington. Located just a few miles from the centre
of Stratford-Upon-Avon, The Howard Arms is a serene
17th century pub that still stands in front of the
unspoilt village green.
Here you'll find a gastro-pub menu that caters for every
taste and has won many awards, particular specialities
include local pheasant, woodland mushroom and carrot
terrine, and a mouth-watering selection of desserts.
Choosing to dine somewhere elegant will certainly add
an extra bit of sparkle to a special occasion and The
Welcombe Hotel [map] on Warwick Road is certainly an exercise in using delicate
flavours to create exquisite dishes. The modern menu
includes a variety of tempting dishes and you dine surrounded
by beautiful grounds with the magnificent golf course
is close by.
