City Travel in Stratford-Upon-Avon

Finding your way around Stratford-Upon-Avon town centre needn’t be a hassle as there’s a good selection of routes and public transport to help you get from A to Z.

Stratford-Upon-Avon doesn’t have a bus station but does have a bus terminal [map] locaterd on Bridgeway. From here you can catch buses to various parts of the town and further afield. The main bus stops are on Wood Street [map] and Bridge Street [map].

If you’d prefer to navigate the town centre in your own transport you’ll be pleased to know that the council provides eight car parks providing more than 2,800 parking spaces.

Two car parks within Stratford-Upon-Avon, Bridgefoot multi-storey and the adjacent Unicorn Meadow are barrier controlled pay on foot, which means you take a ticket on entering the car park, retain it, and pay the required fee before collecting your car.

The other Stratford-upon-Avon car parks are pay and display, which means you have to buy a ticket on arrival. The charges apply 24 hours daily, seven days a week.

Another option for getting around the city centre is to take a taxi. There is a taxi rank outside the local train station, where you can pick up a taxi on the spare of the moment. Alternatively, you can ring one of the local private hire taxi companies, who will pick you up from a location that suits you and drop you off right outside your destination.
