Clubbing In South East London |
 |
 |
Whether you’re looking for famous venues or small
independent clubs you’ll be sorted with a visit
to South East London.
If you’re looking for a venue to begin your night,
head to Southwark’s trendy district The Cut,
which offers a lively blend of exclusive pubs, world-cuisine
and great little art cafes. Taxis are also plentiful in
this area so you’ll be able to head into town in
comfort.
Have it large at the infamous Ministry of Sound [map],
Gaunt Street. This is where some of the world’s
very best DJs do their thing and is a great place for
celeb-spotting. This club might have been around a long
time but it’s still the place to be seen and the
standard of music just keeps getting better and better.
You can even hire it if you want to party with a few hundred
of your best friends.
If you’re staying in Bermondsey a trip to Old Kent
Road [map], is a must. Here you’ll be able to sample an
eclectic mix of clubs and an even broader range of music.
Check out The Brink and Scene for “anything
goes” vibes and World Turned Upside Down for over 25s which proves incredibly popular on a Saturday
night.
Imbibe [map],
Blackfriars Road, Southwark, is ideal for those wanting
to stay out late but needing a comfy sofa on hand to fall
into when the evening draws to a close. With an ambient
and chilled out crowd this place should appeal to the
alternative crowd and seasoned clubbers who simply need
a rest.
Looking for a tempting offer? How about an evening at Wicked [map],
Tooley Street. See strippers, poll-dancing and lap dancers
in this fetish club. Offering a fun night out to stag
and hen parties as well as those looking for a change
of scenery, Wicked is sure to give you some unique memories
of your visit to London.
Enjoy some passion and authentic sounds of Latin-America
at Cubana [map],
Lower Marsh. This is about as close to Cuba as you can
get in South East London and Fidel Castro himself is rumoured
to be a share holder. Enjoy some lively music and fine
food in a nice alternative to beer, lager and largin’
it.
When it’s all over head to Lewisham and pay your
money to enter The Venue [map],
Clifton Rise, New Cross. This is definitely the place
to finish a night as it stays open until 4am and customers
have the option of carrying on the party or chilling out
in one of the quieter rooms.
