When you want to get in or out of Sheffield by train should find it a simple and straightforward experience due to its location in the UK.

In terms of getting to the major towns and cities in northern and central England, many are around an hour away by train, including Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester and Nottingham.

If you want to get to and from the capital, Sheffield is on a direct train route from London, if you travel from St Pancras station. The journey takes around two and a half hours and the service is operated by Midland Mainline.
