Restaurants In Sheffield |
 |
 |
As
the UK’s fourth largest city, Sheffield has an
abundance of eateries that are sure to suit your mood
and your taste. Whether you prefer the cheap and cheerful
curry or the contemporary bistro dining, Sheffield covers
all the bases.
For a fine dining experience to remember there’s Brown’s [map] on Abbeydale Road. Formerly known as Carriages, this
restaurant has been revamped and brought into the 21st
century with good food and stylish décor. If
dishes that contain exotic sounding fish and ‘legumes’
rather than vegetables appeal, find out what other options
you have in our fine dining
section.
Vegetarians looking for a fine dining experience
should probably head for the Blue Moon Café [map] on St. James Street. Here you’ll find great vegetarian
meals, which can be enjoyed in the relaxed atmosphere
of this exclusively vegetarian establishment.
Alternatively there’s KumQuat Mae [map] in Nether Edge where vegetariancs can enojy a meal from
the Mediterranean menu in the restaurant or at home
as a takeaway, and there’s a 10% discount for
Vegetarian Society members.
Music accompanied meals are not for everyone, but if
you like a little melody with your monkfish, then check
out Alley Way [map] on London Road. This restaurant serves both lunch and
dinner with a side serving of Mediterranean music to
set the mood. If a smooth serving of jazz is more to
your taste then why not give Aitch's [map] in Bakewell a try.
For those evenings when you’re really not sure
what to have it may be worth taking a culinary trip
to other parts of the world. Viva Latino [map] serves Italian and Mexican food and Julio's [map] in Outibridge serves Italian, Spanish and South American,
ideal for those who find it difficult to stick to one
part of the world during their meal. If Japanese is
the flavour for you then you could try WasabiSabi
[map],
and for Middle Eastern/Lebanese food there’s Sheiks [map] on Glossop Road. For more out-of-the-ordinary dining
experiences why not read our go
different feature.
When you want to make fish the dish of the day, you
don’t have to venture to a city by the sea. Sheffield
has a number of restaurants where seafood takes
pride of place on the menu, including Dore Grill
Restaurant [map], Froggies Bistro on London Road and JR Dallas [map] on Abbeydale Road.
