The Morning After in Sheffield |
 |
 |
Being able to enjoy
a great breakfast without having to think about the washing
up is a great way to start the day, and Sheffield has
several early morning options that are certainly worth
getting out of the house for.
For the fry up you need to lift your spirits and your
health from the doldrums head to Mrs Migs Café [map] on Westfield Terrace. Although there are alternative breakfasts
on offer here, most people go for the traditional fried
food while catching up on the events of the night before.
Offering traditional cooked breakfasts with an Italian
twist, Caffe Uno [map] is ideal if you want
breakfast without the greasy atmosphere. The restaurant
itself has a contemporary feel and the breakfast menu
includes ‘The Uno Vegetarian’ and bacon and
eggs on toast.
For a French style morning feed, why not try Café
Rouge [map].
Of course you’ll find croissants with various toppings
on the menu but there’s also a classic French
breakfast available along with some more typically
English options.
However if you want to go for the upmarket breakfast option then why not get your morning food fix at Leo’s
Brasserie [map].
This restaurant is actually part of the Charnwood Hotel,
but you don’t have to be a guest to enjoy the morning
elegance of breakfast at the Brasserie. Open from 7:00am this restaurant means that you don’t have to wait
until sundown to enjoy some fine dining.
Vittles [map] is one of the city's most popular
breakfast destinations. Located in the student-orientated
area of Broomhill, this eatery offers early morning eats,
in a relaxed and sociable environment. Here you’ll
find everything from soups to snacks to help ease you
into the day ahead.
Open from 8:00am throughout the week and 10:00am on a Saturday,
the Double Dutch Pancake Bar [map] offers a
tasty alternative to the greasy fry up. Located on Orchard
Square (near TK Maxx) in the city centre, this eatery
offers sweet and savoury pancake treats making it the
ideal place to try out new hangover cures.
Although the restaurant at Napoleons Casino [map] doesn’t actually open until dinnertime, if
you’re looking for a very early breakfast then this
might be the place. Whether you plan to sleep way past
breakfast in the morning or if you just feel peckish at
the end of the day, you’ll find sausage, bacon and
scambled eggs are served here until nearly three in the
morning.
