Sheffield is a diverse city and as such has a wide variety
of things for you to do while you’re there. In addition
to the main attractions however, you’ll also find
that there are a number of interesting local events you
may want to try, including: |

| Sheffield Festival of
Athletics |
| 23rd April 2005 |
| This open track and
field event allows athletes of all ages and abilities
to come along and compete with others of a similar standard.
Participants have to fill in entry forms a few weeks in
advance but spectators can turn up on the day. |
| Festival of Transport |
| 26th June 2005 |
| An event to get your
engines revving, the Festival of Transport feature over
1000 classic cars and bikes. This is an event the whole
family can enjoy with fun fair rides for the kids, scale
model displays and the Wall Of Death live action show. |
| Sheffield Fayre |
| 28th – 29th August
2005 |
| Held at Norfolk Heritage
Park, this is the biggest free event in South Yorkshire
so there’s plenty going on. The Sheffield Horticultural
Show, a traditional fun fair, a multi-period history camp,
classic cars, falconry displays and a farmers market all
feature in this Bank Holiday weekend event. |

| After Dark & Fireworks |
| 5th November 2005 |
| If you’re in
South Yorkshire on bonfire night then this is the place
to be for the most spectacular fireworks extravaganza.
As well as an exciting fireworks display set to music,
you can also watch the entertainment on the Hallam FM
stage as well as get additional thrills at the giant funfair. |
