EVENTS LISTINGS:
Sheffield has a number of cinemas that show everything from the latest blockbuster films to the best independent releases. There are four mainstream cinemas in the area, namely the Odeon [map] in the town centre, Vue [map] at Meadowhall, UCI [map] in Crystal Peaks shopping centre and the UGC [map] which is part of Valley Centertainment. However the city also boasts one of the largest independent cinemas in the country. Housed in a converted 1930s building, the Showroom [map] on Paternoster Row shows documentaries, shorts, archive and foreign language films and also hosts a number of film festivals. |
