GO Events In Plymouth

	With a rich maritime history Plymouth is often noted for its water-related events, however not everything that goes on locally has a connection to the sea. Aside from the Powerboat Championships, this city’s annual events include:

Event:	The British Firework Championships
Date:	16th – 17th August 2005
Description:	This event sees a number of companies pitting their sparkling wits against each other over two days to see who can create the most exciting firework displays to the delight of the local crowds.

Event:	Glyndebourne on Tour
Date:	22nd – 26th November 2005
Description:	Each year, Plymouth Theatre Royal plays host to three productions by the Glyndebourne Touring Opera.
