Libraries in Oxford |
 |
 |
Oxford has 43
libraries across the area and offers a wide selection
of information resources. There is also a mobile library that serves out of the way areas or access groups who
would have trouble getting to a library.
Everyone is welcome to join an Oxfordshire library. Adults
and children are free to browse, read books, newspapers
or magazines, ask for information and join in activities
such as community education and lifelong learning.
In order to borrow books or to hire videos, DVDs and computer
games, you will need to join the library. Membership
is free, and open to everyone living, working or studying
in Oxfordshire.
To join you have to fill in an application form and provide
confirmation of your name, address and signature, such
as a family allowance book or driving license.
Oxford Central Library [map] can be found at Westgate
and offers Internet access, an extensive reference
library and a café. |
