When the school
holidays roll around there’s always a last minute
dash to find something to occupy the kids. This time,
why not take them to Oxford for a visit?
Have some fun and educate the kids with The Oxford
Story [map], Broad Street. This great ride through
history lets children explore fun elements of Oxford including
the story around Alice In Wonderland and the early
days of Oxford University.
Kids won’t need any excuse to get their skates on
at the Oxford Ice Rink [map].
This is an ice rink that’s open 24 hours a day and
offers thrills and spills on a huge ice area - it's even
got a snow machine for that authentic touch.
Help the children get hooked on art by taking them along
to the Museum of Modern Art [map]. Let their
imaginations run wild in this award-winning museum that showcases some of the most dynamic and unusual art
and sculpture in the UK.
The Oxford Playhouse [map] is a premier theatre that offers some great shows
for children throughout the year, particularly at Christmas.
Located at Beaumont Street, it offers a packed programme
that involves plenty of opportunities for children to
get involved with theatre and even parents will be entranced
by a show here.
