When you wake up
feeling as if you’ve been repeatedly beaten about
the head during your sleep, it’s good to know that
there’s a few places you can go to rest, recuperate
and enjoy a sterling breakfast to help get you back on
your feet.
For a “no frills” English breakfast of gigantic
proportions head to St Giles Café [map],
where you can enjoy all the cholesterol your heart desires
in the warm and friendly atmosphere of this traditional
café.
Another such place in the heart of the covered market
is Brown’s Café [map], that will
cook you a fine and hearty breakfast with all the
trimmings.
Georgina’s Café [map] is an immensely
popular venue for getting over the night before in
comfort. Frequented by celebs but not pretentious in any
way and offering good value for money, Georgina’s
is a big favourite with students and locals alike.
Treat yourself to a breakfast ciabatta at Morton’s [map], which is an upmarket hangover cure venue. You’ll
be able to choose from classic fried foods as well as
breakfast options with a twist and large glasses of juice
or proper coffee to wash it all down with.
Another great place for those who still have cash to splash
is Harvey’s [map], which offers early
morning snacks, coffee, juice and other deli treats to
those who need a caffeine and sugar hit. Many people arrive
here for breakfast and tend not to leave until late afternoon,
which is probably the best cure for those suffering major
headaches and hunger pangs.
