within the 280 acres of Colwick Park, two miles from the
city centre, Nottingham Racecourse [map] is
easily accessible from all over country.
And with more than 100 years of history, the course offers
a wealth of tradition alongside great modern facilities.
The track here is a flat, left-handed oval with easy turns,
and the fixture list starts in March and goes through
to November.
There are two enclosures, the modern Centenary Stand,
which boasts splendid views of the racecourse parade ring
and winner’s enclosure, and the recently refurbished Grandstand, where you really feel the hustle and
bustle of the main betting ring.
Grandstand punters also have access to all ground areas,
including the parade ring, the winner's enclosure and
a children's playground, while tote facilities are available
in all areas.
Add to this plenty of eateries in both enclosures, such
as the members’ only Roof Top Restaurant in
the Centenary Stand, the Champions Bar, Frankies Bar and Terrace in the Grandstand, and you’re
guaranteed a full day of entertainment at the races.
Nottingham Racecourse also has a conference centre,
making it a great venue for conferences, training days,
seminars, dinners and team building days. Whether you’re
inviting 20 or 200 delegates, the racecourse can cater
for your needs.
And if all that is not enough to put you in the mood for
a day at Nottingham Racecourse, you may also like to know
that top jockeys to race here include Kieren Fallon and 11-times champion Pat Eddery.
