As
a haven for shoppers, sports fans and budding historians,
Nottingham has plenty of bus and coach services on offer
linking it to major towns and cities around the UK.
Trent Buses operate a TransPeak service every two
hours daily from the city’s Broadmarsh bus station [map] to Derby and then through the Peak District
to Manchester.
If you’re coming from Leicester then the Dunn
Line Express 777 service runs eight times a day, while
those coming from further a field would be best using National Express, which connects Nottingham to
other major UK cities.
Leaving from Broadmarsh station, coaches travel directly
to London (eight times a day), Leeds (seven daily), Manchester
(two daily) and Sheffield (seven daily).
You can then get connections from these destinations to
Gatwick, Heathrow, Manchester and Glasgow International
airports, as well as other major cities such as Edinburgh,
Cardiff and Birmingham.
The journey time to Nottingham from the capital is around
three hours, and it takes just over two hours from Leeds
and three hours from Manchester.
