If you’re
feeling energetic during your stay in Norwich you may
want to take advantage of the good range of sports facilities
the city has on offer.
From football pitches and badminton courts to swimming
pools and cycling, you’re bound to find a venue
to suit your sporting taste.
The city has a number of leisure centres including the University of East Anglia Sportspark [map],
which has facilities for badminton, squash, dance, fencing,
tennis, table tennis and volleyball.
Keen swimmers should head to the Bernard Matthews Olympic
Pool [map]at
the UEA Sportspark, which is one of only 12 Olympic
size pools in the country. Alternatively, the Riverside
Swimming Centre [map] on Carrow Road also has leisure, spa and teaching pools.
Norwich is also home to the Norfolk Ski Club [map] in the Trowse area of the city, where you can
learn to ski on the top class dry slope.
There are also a number of cycle routes heading
out from the city centre into the scenic Norfolk Broads,
along with numerous circular walks of approximately
four to six miles, the council's

Add to this numerous of golf courses,
including the renowned Marriott Sprowston Golf Club

and an array of football, basketball, rugby and netball
pitches, and you’ll be spoilt for sporting choice.
