Romantic in North West London |
 |
 |
So you’ve
managed to persuade your partner to venture into north
west London with you, and now that they’re here
you want to romance them into submission – what
does the area have to offer?
Well in terms of something to do during the daylight
hours, you could take stroll hand in hand around Regents
Park [map] , couples can spend hours there taking boat rides
and sitting on the grass gazing into each others eyes.
Another option could be to put together a picnic and
go to Primrose Hill [map].
You could enjoy the views over the capital and have
the picnic in the park as you tell your partner stories
of the duels that used to happen there… then if
things go well and you’re felling particularly
brave, you could act out the relevant parts of Ben Elton’s
book Inconceivable.
If you’d rather go with the tried and test method
of wooing your intended, you could go for an intimate
dinner at Odette’s [map]. Try to get a table in one of the cosy corners if
you want to get romantic, and get stuck into the great
range of wines they have on offer.
However north west London is known for its gastro pubs,
and there are plenty that can offer good food and a
relaxed atmosphere for you to do your entertaining.
Find traditional Italian style cooking at Salusbury
[map] on the road with the same name and flavours with
a Mediterranean edge at The Landsdown [map].
In terms of somewhere to stay you could treat your partner
to the rich elegance of the Dorset Square Hotel [map],
where each room is individually decorated to fuse the
past and the present to maximise the feeling of luxury.
And at the five star Landmark London [map] you can combine fine dinning and salubrious slumber
under one roof.
