Romantic in North London |
 |
 |
Whether you’re
looking to impress with an extravagant display of affection
or simply want a place to get intimate, you should be
able to find some romantic haunts in north London.
Sometimes romance comes simply by spending time together
without distractions, and one of the best ways to do this
is to spend a night in a hotel.
And probably the top place to stay in north London is Hilton Islington [map].
At the Hilton hotel on Upper Street you’ll be able
to make the most of your time together. This stylish hotel
has all the comforts you’d expect from a four star
hotel in their standard rooms but there are also suites
and deluxe rooms available if you really want to pamper
your partner. You could have a great time without having
to leave the complex as there’s a bar, restaurant,
health club and beauty salon all on site so you don’t
have to venture too far away from the bedroom.
If you think the way to your potential life partner’s
heart is through their stomach then eating out in north
London should have them seriously considering putting
a ring on your finger before you get to dessert.
If you need the added draw of expense to seal the deal
then take your partner to Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen
[map] restaurant
or to Almeida [map],
the latest in the Conran collection of fine dining eateries.
If you need the romantic ambience then Le Mercury [map] in Islington is worth a try and for good simply food make
a booking at Lemonia [map] or gastro pub the North Star.
However if you just want to spend time together with your
significant other making the most of what north London
has to offer you could; take a stroll around Waterlow
Park at Highgate Hill, go boating on Finsbury Park
lake [map],
take in a show at the Pleasance Theatre [map],
spend the evening laughing at the Red Rose Comedy Club
[map] or take to the dance floor and salsa the night away
at The Finca (don’t worry they do do lessons
for beginners!).
And if the romance takes you all the way to the altar,
then you could get married in north London’s Lauderdale
House. This 16th century manor house is a grade
II listed building set in the beautiful gardens of Waterlow
Park, for more information contact Lauderdale House on
020 8348 8716.
