Banish that
famous “I’m so bored!” cry by taking
youngsters on an exciting adventure around the City
of North London.
If you’re looking for a fun day out why not try
the thrills and spills of the Bowood House Adventure
Playground [map] in Wiltshire. It’s a bit of a drive
but once there children will be able to frolic to their
hearts content at this attraction that has been enchanting
youngsters for more than 25 years.
The timber play area includes an extensive range of slides,
high-level catwalks and a pirate ship, as well as trampolines
and numerous swings. Parents can enjoy a stroll around
the impressive grounds of Bowood House whilst their
little monkeys have lots of fun.
Children will be fascinated by the Wookey Hole Caves
[map]
in Wells. This natural phenomenon has given man shelter
for more than 50,000 years and the caves are a great way
for children to learn about geology and history.
The Wookey Hole Caves isn’t merely a series of
holes though, there’s plenty more to keep youngsters
entertained. Try your luck at the Penny Arcade
or have lots of fun getting lost in the Magical Mirror
Maze. You should be prepared to spend a whole
day at this fascinating place.
If this all sounds a bit too energetic why not relax with
a picnic at Newbridge Park [map]
and enjoy watching the world go by. The tall trees that
line the park are perfect for a quick game of Hide and
Seek and on sunny days many children bring their kites
to this area.
