When the going
gets tough on your body and it’s more than just
attraction fatigue or the fact that you had to run to
catch the bus – then London is medically well equipped
to help you out.
In the case of a life-threatening emergency call 999 for
immediate assistance. This number should be used for genuine
emergencies only.
In north London, the Whittington Hospital [map], has a 24-hour accident and emergency service. However
for dental emergencies Guy's Hospital [map],
St Thomas St, would be your best option.
For non-emergency care there is the nurse-led walk in
clinic in Edmonton - North Middlesex NHS Walk-in
Centre [map] which provides wound care, blood
pressure checks and much more Monday to Friday from 7am
until 10:00pm and Saturday and Sunday from 9:00am until 10:00pm.
For dentists in the area who are willing to treat non
registered patients you could try either the White
Cross Dental Care [map] , Holloway or Gaber
Dental Surgery [map], Canonbury Road, London. However
treatment is not guaranteed so call before you go.
For any other medical enquiries you can call the National
Health Service helpline on 0845 46 47.
