Business Travel in North London |

Leafy north London
is not usually the first place people consider when organising
a business function in the capital, but should you have
the good fortune to be able to venture outside the Square
Mile you shouldn’t be disappointed.
The Square Mile, or the City (as it is also known), is
London’s inner sanctum, which has traditionally
been the business hub of the capital and the country,
home to mainly financial businesses and associated law
companies.
But even if you have business in the City you may still
get the chance to see what’s to the north. If this
is the case travelling to north London is quite straightforward.
In terms of getting there from the airport, there will
be public transport that can get you to your desired destination
but for the least hassle take a taxi.
If you are already in the capital then heading to Kings
Cross train station [map] should give you the best
access to rail services for north London. From here you
can connect to overground trains as well as six of the
underground lines.
In terms of somewhere to stay the Hilton Islington
[map] is probably going to be the most convenient. The location
means that getting into the City or to places in north
London should not be too difficult.
The Hilton hotel has suites on offer that give you space
to relax and space to work - all for the price of one
room. In addition, the hotel is equipped with a gym, restaurant,
bar, and wireless broadband Internet access as well as function rooms where business meetings can be held.
Probably one of the main reasons to venture into north
London is for the range of quality restaurants and eateries. Frederick’s, Fifteen [map] and Almeida [map] all have top nosh on the menu, but for something slightly
different from your typical business cuisine you could
try Two Brothers [map], The Real Greek [map] or gastro pub The Engineer [map].
The area is also home to numerous bars, clubs and other evening entertainments so, when
you are ready to leave business behind you won’t
need to worry about getting bored.
