This Edwardian home comes fully equipped (so no need to pack the kitchen sink) and is available on a week by week basis. The accommodation itself can sleep up to five people and children are welcome. Self-catering accommodation is also available at a barn conversion in Gateshead. Known as the Woodpeckers and Swallows this four star accommodation offers one- and two- bedroom apartments starting from £250 per week. Each apartment comes with a fitted kitchen and a television, as well as secure parking. Students who plan to spend the summer in the city can take advantage of the reasonably priced self-catering accommodation at the University of Northumbria [map]. Lovaine Hall is located on the city campus of the university and this is where students can stay for around £10 per night.
