GO Takeaway in Manchester

Takeaways in Manchester When the fridge is bare and you’re just too tired to get dressed up for a night at one of Manchester’s eateries, fear not, there's a wealth of takeaways to choose from in the city.

Whether you fancy sweet and sour, curry, pizza or just plain old burger and chips, there is a place in Manchester that has just what you’re after – and most deliver straight to your door.

For pizza or pasta why not try Pizza Express [map] on Chester Road, which has the usual choice of gourmet pizzas and delivers within a three mile radius of the city centre.

Another great place for pizzas – and kebabs, burgers and chips – is Millennium Spice [map], also on Chester Road, which delivers in the Hulme area until 1am.

If you’re after Oriental cuisine then place your order at Little Yang Sing [map] in Chinatown, which has a full a la carte takeaway menu along with gourmet boxes for lunch and dinner.

The trendy Thai restaurant, Ikan [map], also has a great takeaway menu, although there is no delivery service so you must be prepared to nip to the premises on Sackville Street to pick up your order.

If you’re after an Indian meal or a kebab then there’s nowhere better in Manchester than the famous Curry Mile in Rusholme, which has hundreds of restaurants and takeaways, many of which offer delivery services.

There are also plenty of fish and chip shops in the city centre and beyond, including the renowned Bath Chipshop on Manchester Road in Chorlton.

For classic fast food, such as burgers, chips and fried chicken, then try one of the many McDonalds, Burger King, or KFC outlets in and around the city. Or there’s always the hugely popular McTurkey Fried Chicken on Canal Street, which is a rather good Manchester version of KFC.

Finally for those on a working lunch there are plenty of places to grab a bite to eat on the move including the New York Deli [map] on Oxford Road, which has a great selection of sandwiches and coffees to takeaway.
