EVENTS LISTINGS:
There are quite a few multiplex cinemas in Manchester, all showing variety of Hollywood blockbusters and classic movies. The Printworks, near Victoria station, has one of the few IMAX screens in the UK, while The Red Cinema, a joint venture between Manchester United Football Club and Vue Cinemas, has a seven-screen complex in Salford Quays. There’s a Showcase Cinema in Belle Vue, which is extremely popular as it has a mammoth 14 screens to ensure you can see the latest release when you want to. If you would rather watch foreign films or independent works then the Cornerhouse with its popular café and bar is the place to go. |
