GO AIR

Air Travel in Manchester Manchester is home to one of Britain’s – and the world’s – leading airports that connects the North of England with global destinations, including Washington and Singapore.

The airport, which is just ten miles from the city centre, is easy to get to. It is well signposted on all major roads over a wide area and even has its own junction off the M56, which leads directly to all three terminals.

Inside the airport there are a wealth of facilities for business travellers and tourists alike, including some well established eateries, such as Caffe Ritazza and Harry Ramsden’s.

It also offers a number of executive lounges, such as Escape, which is designed to meet the needs of all passengers who want time to relax or grab a bite to eat before their flight. This lounge is separated into three zones, one of which is dedicated to business travellers, with desks, Internet facilities and telephones so you can clinch the deal before taking to the skies.

There is also a children’s Playcare Centre, which is situated in Terminal 1 and allows youngsters to play or watch TV. It is open 24 hours a day and parents should supervise their children at all times.

With more than 20 million passengers from across the world using the airport every year, there is plenty of cultural and religious diversity to be seen. To accommodate this the airport has two Multi-faith Prayer Rooms that are open 24 hours a day for people of any religion to have a quiet place for contemplation or prayer.
