Liverpool has pretty much got it all – museums,
art, history and architecture – making it one of
the top spots in Britain for people looking for great
places to visit.
For splendid displays of architecture then head to the Liver Building [map], Town Hall [map] or one of the city’s two wonderful cathedrals. You’re
bound to be amazed whichever attraction you choose.
If its history you’re after, there is a great choice
of museums delving into everything
from the slave trade and smugglers, to chemistry and soap
operas.
To discover more about that famous band, y’know
the Beatles, who had a few number ones in the 1960s and
70s, then hop on the Magical Mystery Tour or visit
the Beatles Story Exhibition Experience [map].
As well as being the birthplace of the Fab Four, Liverpool
is also home to a wide choice of theatres, art galleries and concert
halls, which make the city a must for people looking to
be entertained.
And as if all that wasn’t enough, you can also enjoy
a stroll round the wonderful Albert Dock [map] or take a ferry across the River Mersey!
Beyond the city centre you’ll find more top attractions
from the Victorian botanical Palm House [map] to the animal wilderness at Knowsley Safari Park [map].
So whether you’re looking for history,
architecture, entertainment or a bit of Beatlemania, you’ll find it all in Liverpool.
