Going
to Liverpool by car may seem like the best option for
many people because you can set off when you want, and
get out and about during your stay.
But be warned the M62, which is the only motorway that
goes right into Liverpool, can get very congested, especially
during rush-hour, so you should be prepared for a few
traffic jams.
However, you’ll be pleased to know that the route
into the city centre, whether your travelling from the
north, south or east, is very easy to follow.
Using the M6, take junction 21 for the M62 westbound and
follow the motorway until the end. From there follow brown
signs for Albert Dock and Central Tourist Attractions,
which directs motorists along the A5080 into the city
centre.
:
Using the M6 take junction 21 for the M62 westbound and
follow the motorway until the end. Then continue straight
ahead on to the A5080 and follow signs for the Central
Tourist Attractions.
:
Using the M62 continue straight ahead as the motorway
becomes part of the M60 ring road around Greater Manchester.
Then at junction 12 bear left back on to the M62 and follow
until the end. Take the A5080 directly into the city centre. |
