| Leeds famous shopping
quarters in the city centre are extremely busy, particularly
at weekends and during school holidays, so if you want
to avoid the crowds why not visit one of the retail parks
nearby? Leeds has plenty of out of town venues from which
to get all your goods and have a well-deserved rest in
an in-house café or restaurant.
The benefits to visiting a retail park are vast. Buying
everything under one roof really does take the hassle
out of shopping, plus there’s usually a great big
food court or a range of cafésso all weary shoppers
are guaranteed a seat. You’ll get free parking,
even though you might have to wait a little.
Plus, there’s often an in-house crèche so
you can do your shopping in peace away from the children.
One of the largest and brightest outlets in Leeds is The
White Rose Shopping Centre [map].
Brimming with a variety of high-street fashion and gifts
over two floors The White Rose is a firm favourite with
Leeds locals. There’s also a range of restaurants
and cafés.
Close to Leeds is the Birstall Retail Park [map].
Aside from being home to the region’s Ikea,
the park also has a wealth of well-known brands such as Toys "R" Us and has a range of handy
restaurants including TGI Friday’s.
