Finding out about
what there is to see and do in the UK is one of the main
aims of the site, and we aim to provide a comprehensive
guide to what’s on in the UK. Entertainment from the home page On the home page of the site, on the right hand side of the screen you will find access to a Cinema search and an Entertainment search. To use this search you must select where you want to see your film, by using the drop down menu next to the word ‘where:’. [By clicking on the blue arrow next to the box you will have access to all the cities available, just use your mouse to scroll down and click on the option you would like.] You can then either enter the name of the film you are looking for in the available text box and then click on the search button to see the result of your search; Or you can select the type of film you are interested in seeing from the ‘film type’ drop down menu and then click on the search button to see the result of your search; Or you can select the certificate of the film you would like to see from the options and then click on the search button to see the result of your search. You must select a location and either enter a film name, select a film type or choose a film certificate to be able to use this search. But for a more specific search you can use a combination of these search functions. The entertainment search from the home page allows you to search for a variety of entertainment information for specific cities across the UK. Simply select the city you are interested in using the first drop down menu. [By clicking on the blue arrow next to the box you will have access to all the cities available, just use your mouse to scroll down and click on the option you would like.] Then select the type of entertainment you are interested in from the drop down list. Once you have made your choices click on the search button to see the results. You must choose both a city and a type of entertainment for the search to work. Using the guides Once you have selected a city guide to view, you will be able to find out about the entertainments that are available in the city. From the home page click on the text feature box marked Local Entertainment and you will have access to a number of features on the various forms of entertainment available in your chosen city. If, however you have already begun to explore the city, just use the main right hand navigation menu to take you to this entertainment features page (you can find the entertainment option in ‘The guide’ section of the menu, it is the fifth option down). From here simply click on the text of the feature you are interested in to be taken through to detailed information about that form of entertainment, for example if you are interest in Clubbing, click on the text of the ‘Go Clubbing’ features box. When you have finished reading about a particular form of entertainment you can use the crumb at the top left of the page to return to the entertainment features page. Searching for Cinema listings You can search for cinema listings for your selected city from with its city guide. There is a cinema search available from the city home page as well as from the entertainment features page. From the city home page Clicking on the text in the ‘Go to the Cinema’ feature box will take you more information about the cinemas in the area. From this page you can also access cinema listings for all the cinemas in the area, or find out where a particular film is showing by using the cinema search. Or you could use the search function within the ‘ Go to the cinema’ feature box to find the film or films you are interested in that are showing in your chosen city (i.e. if you are looking at the Bristol city guide, the search will find where films are showing in Bristol) You can then either enter the name of the film you are looking for in the available text box and then click on the search button to see the result of your search; Or you can select the type of film you are interested in seeing from the ‘film type’ drop down menu and then click on the search button to see the result of your search; Or you can select the certificate of the film you would like to see from the options and then click on the search button to see the result of your search. You must either enter a film name, select a film type or choose a film certificate to be able to use this search. But for a more specific search you can use a combination of these search functions. From the entertainment section Once you have selected ‘entertainment’ in your selected city guide, you will arrive at the entertainment features page. On the second row of features boxes you will find ‘Go Cinema’, simply click on the text for more information about cinema in your selected city. From this page you can also access cinema listings for all the cinemas in the area by clicking on the cinema box, which can be found on the right hand side of the event listings box at the top of the page. Or you can use the cinema search to find out where a particular film is showing.
