Self-Catering in Glasgow |
 |
 |
Offering you the
chance to make your own home from home in Scotland’s
largest city, self-catering accommodation in Glasgow comes
in a variety of guises so there should be one that’s
right for you.
When you are looking for self-catering accommodation in
Glasgow, location and facilities are likely to play a
big part in your decision, if this is the case then Woodlands
Court [map] could be for you. This modern ground floor flat, consists
of one twin room and one double room in addition to a
fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and microwave,
bathroom with electric shower, a lounge and separate dinning
area. In terms of location it is around 15 minutes
from Glasgow city centre and 20 minutes from the airport,
which means you are never too far away from local attractions
and distractions. There’s also a supermarket nearby
and a golf course and park where people of all ages can
get outside and get active. To take advantage of this
accommodation you will need to stay for a minimum of two
nights.
If you’re used to staying in the classy part of
town when you’re at home, you do not have to change
when you visit Glasgow. The city’s West End is one
of the more exclusive parts of town and this is where
you’ll find The White Apartments [map].
Located in a Georgian Crescent, this traditional townhouse
offers a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with shower
and bathtub, Sky Television and a sound system as well
as disabled access. Towels and linen, as well as
use of the local gym are included in the price, which
is charged on a nightly, weekly or monthly basis.
Also located in Glasgow’s West End are City Apartments
[map],
which aim to provide a luxurious but affordable alternative
to hotel living. Spacious and stylish accommodation has
everything you need from fully equipped kitchens and bathrooms
inside, to upmarket restaurants and bars within walking
distance. The minimum stay for this accommodation is one
night but if you are planning on staying for a month or
more the prices may be reduced.
For somewhere to stay that’s a little out of the
ordinary, why not try the 18th century farm buildings
of The Barn and The Roundhouse [map] located close to Glasgow’s main attractions. Although
the buildings are beautifully historic, you will find
that the accommodation is comfortable with all the usual
amenities. And despite it’s rural location this
accommodation is well connected with shops within two
miles and easy access to the major routes by car and public
transport. The bigger of the two self-catering apartments,
The Barn, can sleep up to five people, while the
The Roundhouse is a cosy abode for two. Prices for both
of these accommodations are charged on a week by week
basis.
Further afield you’ll find self-catering accommodation
at New Lanark less than an hour from Glasgow city centre. The Waterhouses [map] are ideal for people who want to escape from it all, as
each of the cottages sits on the banks of the Clyde. Your
stay here must be for a minimum of three nights, but once
you’re settled in this serene setting it’s
unlikely you’ll want to leave in a hurry.
