When the going
gets tough on your body and it's more than just attraction
fatigue or the fact that you had to run to catch the bus
– then London is medically well equipped to help
you out.
In the case of a life-threatening emergency call 999
for immediate assistance. This number should be used
for genuine emergencies only.
In east London the Royal Hospital London [map] , has a 24-hour accident and emergency service,
however for dental emergencies Guy's Hospital, St Thomas
St would be your best option.
For non-emergency care there is a
nurse-led walk in clinic by Whitechapel underground
which is open from 7am until 10:00pm Monday to Friday and
at weekends and bank holidays from 9 am until 10:00pm to
deal with women’s health problems, stomach ache,
coughs and colds, and similar problems.
For dentists in the area who are willing to treat non
registered patients you could try either the East
Side Dental Practice [map] , Whitechapel Road,
or Triangle Dental Practice [map] , Hackney. However treatment is not guaranteed so call before
you go.
For any other medical enquiries you can call the National
Health Service helpline on 0845 46 47.
