GO Shopping in Cambridge

Shopping in Cambridge A visit to Cambridge wouldn’t be the same without sampling some of its wares and there’s plenty of venues to choose from if you’re keen to flex the credit card.

There’s a real mix of unique independent shops as well as familiar high street stores here in Cambridge and you’ll probably need more than a day (and a hefty budget) to peruse every retail opportunity.

Some of Cambridge’s most famous stores are within walking distance of each other.

Have a sweet treat at The Chocolate House [map] where you can purchase chocolate from across the world as well as stock up on gifts for Christmas, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day.

For the dapper gentleman or lady in your life, there’s really only one place to purchase your next bespoke item of clothing: Ede and Ravenscroft [map]. This is one of the finest tailors in the area and can be found at Trumington Street. You can also purchase college accessories including scarves and ties, which make perfect gifts for friends and family at home.

Clifford Hall Vineyard [map] is the perfect place to pick up an excellent bottle of fine wine. Choose from dry, medium dry and sparkling pink to add some fizz to your shopping expedition.

If you’re looking for an unusual gift or simply want to treat yourself to something a bit different head to All Saints Garden Craft Fair [map] where you’ll find a great market that’s more than a quarter of a century old. Proving popular with both tourists and locals All Saints Market is the best place in Cambridge to buy jewellery, pottery, and other hand-crafted goods.

For everything under one roof head to the Grafton Shopping Centre [map], which is about as modern as shopping centres get. This is a bright and clean centre with glass lifts and plenty of high street names to tempt your pocket. There’s also a Vue Cinema where your nearest and dearest can catch the latest film if they don’t share your love of retail therapy.
