If you have a real love of the game and want to find the perfect place to show off your ball control there’s plenty of fields and five-a-side clubs in Cambridge.
The best place to practice your skills is at one of Cambridge’s council-run sports centres.
Kelsey Kerridge Sports Centre [map], Queen Anne Terrace, offers two five-a-side football pitches that can be booked by clubs, organisations and individuals. Children can also get in on the act as Kelsey Kerridge organises footballing birthday parties for young Beckhams everywhere.
The Cambridge Regional College Sports Centre [map], Kings Hedges Road, is one of the city’s finest sporting venues. The facilities here include a large sports hall, two squash courts and a fitness suite with a 15-station multi-gym and cardio-vascular equipment. These facilities can be used by the public in the evening and at the weekends. Groups, organisations and individuals can book the sports hall for indoor soccer matches or make use of the playing fields to the rear of the sports centre. |
