Clubbing In Cambridge |
 |
 |
There are not an enormous amount of nightclubs in the Cambridge area and party animals might be hard-pressed to find somewhere for an all-nighter. But for those who are happy to forgo big name DJs, there are still lots of options out there, and clubbers are advised to head for Market Square and surrounding areas to catch the best.
Coco [map] is one of the most talked about clubs in Cambridge and it’s also one of the newest venues on the scene. Monday is student night – as it is in most clubs in Cambridge – and the rest of the week offers a programme of lively dance music.
One popular favourite is The Fez [map], which offers a blinding student night on a Monday that’s packed with indie-types. Come the weekend and the music changes to deep house and hardened party animals might find their holy grail here.
Po Na Na [map] offers pure and simple fun with a great bar and dance floor. There’s also a Pizza Express on the ground floor giving clubbers the chance to fill up on Margarita before hitting the hot spot later in the evening.
Head underground to Life [map] on Sidney Street. This cool chilled out club offers punters a great place to relax and comes alive on Sunday evenings when students have the chance to dance into the early hours.
Kambar [map] is one of the smallest clubs in Cambridge but is none-the-less beautifully formed. Rock gods, indie kings and queens and those still hanging onto electric dreams will feel right at home. The drinks aren’t cheap here but the atmosphere is rocking and perfect for those who are looking for an alternative music experience.
