Brighton first became
an English tourist resort in the mid-18th century when it was a popular

Also located on the seafront, the Thistle Brighton Hotel [map] has all the amenities of a modern, four star international hotel as well as a splendid location. A firm favourite with business guests, this hotel offers extensive conference facilities, including a boardroom with ceiling mounted projectors. At the Thistle Brighton, you'll also find three restaurants, a bar, 24-hour room service, in-room movies, fitness club and sauna for those who are looking to live the high life – for a few days at least. Other classy hotels worth a look if the ones above are unsuitable include The Belgrave [map] and Queens Hotel [map], which both offer modern and stylish accommodation with a few added extras. The Belgrave has wonderful marble bathrooms and trendy furnishings, and is located very close to a string of hip bars, clubs and restaurants, whilst the Queens offers great sea views and has many of Brighton’s top attractions on its doorstep.
