The drive to Brighton
is fairly scenic and well worth the effort just to take in the glorious
coastal views when you arrive. You’ll be pleased to know that it is also a somewhat easy route to the city from anywhere in the UK as the M23, which leads into Brighton, connects to the M25 London orbital and from there you can get to almost anywhere in the UK. From the North, the Midlands and Scotland: Take the M1 southbound to junction 6 and then join the M25 London orbital motorway. Continue until junction 7 and take the M23. Continue to the end of the motorway and then proceed on the A23 into the city centre. From London: Take the A23 and continue straight ahead until on to the M23. At the end of the motorway proceed on to the A23 into the city centre. From the South West: Take the main A31 road eastbound before joining the M27 at Southampton. Continue straight ahead on to the A27 following signs for the city centre. From the West: Take the M4 until junction 5 and then take the M25 London orbital to junction 7 when you should join the M23. Proceed onto the A23 following signs for the city centre. Listen to BBC Radio Sussex for regular updates on traffic and travel in and around the Brighton area. |
