As a popular seaside town,
Brighton attracts thousands of tourists each year so it’s good
to know there is a wealth of buses available linking it to major towns
and cities around the UK.
If you’re travelling from within East Sussex then the Brighton
and Hove Bus and Coach Company should be able to meet your needs
with regular services into the city centre from places including Hove,
Tunbridge Wells and Shoreham.
Visitors heading to Brighton from further a field would be best hopping
aboard a National Express coach, as the service connects the
city to hundreds of major UK destinations.
There is a direct route to Brighton’s Poole Valley Coach
Station [map]
from London Victoria, which takes around two hours. There are connecting
services from Victoria to around 1,200 places, including Manchester,
Newcastle, Glasgow and Birmingham. However, if you are making you
way along the west coast then you can get direct services to
the city from Bournemouth, Exeter and Penzanze.
Those heading to Brighton from one of London’s airports are
also in luck as there is a service running through Luton, Stansted,
Heathrow and Gatwick direct to the city.
Although all the National Express coaches stop at Poole Valley, a
number of services also call at five smaller bus stops in the Brighton
area, including Preston Circus [map]
and Patcham [map],
which may be more convenient depending on where you are staying.
