Although you may not like the idea of spending your summer seaside break holed up in a dark cinema, a trip to a multiplex does provide a great escape from the rain. The only cinema in the town centre is the Odeon [map] on Rigby Road, which has several screens showing the latest Hollywood blockbusters. There's also a Haagen Dazs Café for that pre-film treat that stays open until 10:00pm. If you don’t mind making the trip out of the resort, you’ll also find the good, and hugely popular, Pleasure Island Cinema [map] in Lytham St Annes, which is a 20-minute drive from central Blackpool. |
