Blackpool
Airport is located just two and a half miles from the
town centre and all the major tourist attractions, making air travel
to Blackpool easier than ever before.
The airport boasts a new terminal building, capable of handling 350,000
passengers per year, and there are daily flights to London Stansted,
Dublin, Isle of Man and Belfast, along with charter services to Jersey,
Tenerife, Majorca and Alicante.
Among the facilities here are two domestic lounges with comfy seating,
a children’s play area, a bar and buffet providing a wide variety
of meals, drinks and snacks, and a shop, which sells newspapers, magazines,
books, sweets, drinks and gifts.
There is also a Hertz Rent A Car office in the terminal building and
Blackpool Airport is connected to the motorway network via the junction
4 of the M55.
Getting to and from the airport…
There are a number of taxi firms that provide a service from the airport
to Blackpool town centre and surrounding towns and villages. There
is a taxi rank situated right outside the terminal building and a
freephone is located next to the public telephone box.

There are a number of bus services operating between the town centre
and Blackpool Airport, and all the buses stop at the airport entrance.

Express also provides a coach service to and from Blackpool and
its airport throughout the year, with travel available from almost

The airport’s passenger terminal is only a five-minute walk
from Squires Gate station and from here you can get trains to Blackpool
North station and services to Preston, which connect with the UK’s
main rail network.
