Clubbing In Belfast |
 |
 |
Wild nights and fast living or kicking back and chilling out, the
choice is yours with the excellent range of clubs in Belfast.
Like many other major cities in the UK Thursday has become the new
Friday, so if you want to start your weekend early hit the club scene
with some of the Belfast residents.
You could begin your night in style at Hunters Bar [map],
Lisburn Road, and enjoy the relaxed and friendly environment. This
is the place for meeting up with your pals before seriously hitting
the town.
If you’re looking for somewhere with a bohemian feel to it,
head to students-favourite The Globe Bar [map]
on University Road. Enjoy the chance to mingle with cool young things
and party to some of the latest independent music around.
Staying on University Road another student favourite can be found
at The Menagerie [map].
This bar is dark and cosy and provides a haven for those who would
rather spend some quality time watching the world go by and listening
to good music.
Why not go for some al fresco drinking at The Empire Bar and Music
Hall [map]
located in Belfast’s swish Botanic Avenue area. Strongly
resembling a Victorian house, this former church is an unusual venue
that hosts some excellent live bands and a comedy night every Tuesday.
People celebrating hen or stag nights or going out with a large group
of people might want to head to Benedicts [map],
Bradbury Place for a great laugh amongst friendly people. It’s
mainly chart and dance music here, with Thursday being the most popular
night although Saturday is very busy too.
The Milk Bar [map]
opened its doors on the evening of the new Millennium to much excitement
in the area. The club, based on Tomb Street, offers an eclectic mix
of great nights out. Priding itself on gathering together the best
international DJs and acts ranging from Soul II Soul to Roger Sanchez,
you’ll find a familiar name appearing here nearly every night
of the week. Check out Monday for some exciting plastic pop and chart
dance music with DJ Kenny Kane and Iced on Fridays for funky house.
