the year, however the city also boasts a few events and
festivals that add a little something different into the
mix of things to do. Some of the highlights include: |

| Between The Lines |
| 4th - 10th April 2005 |
| This is Belfast’s
annual literary event, which takes place at venues across
the city. Hear writers reading from their latest works,
take part in literature workshops or enjoy one of the
many other events that make up this festival. |
| Rose Week |
| 18th – 24th July
2005 |
| One of Belfast’s
more popular annual events, Rose Week centres around Sir
Thomas & Lady Dixon Park where you’ll be able
to enjoy a beautiful array of show standard roses, while
the kids have fun with face-painting, treasure hunts and
more. |

Dog Show |
| 23rd – 24th September
2005 |
| You’ll find
the best in show at this one-day event held at Kings Hall
every year. Spectators can admire the perfect coiffed
pooches as well as pick up a few bits for their own dog
at the trade stalls. |
| CineMagic World Screen
Festival for Young People |
| November/December (dates
to be confirmed) |
| Featuring full length
features and film shorts aimed at 4-18 year olds this
is one of the top film festivals for young people. Kids
can also enter their own films in the competition or become
judges for films aimed at their age group. |
