GO Business Travel in Aberdeen

Business Travel in Aberdeen As the oil capital of Europe, it will come as little surprise that Aberdeen is big in the business world and to complement that the city has a whole host of conference facilities on offer.

For starters there’s the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre [map] at Bridge of Don, which has an array of conference facilities, breakout rooms and a large arena. Among the venues situated in this fantastically modern building are The Boyd-Orr Hall, which seats 2,000 delegates in a theatre-style room, the Fleming Auditorium, which seats 500 people, the Forbes Room for conference involving up to 220 guests, and 23 breakout rooms of varying capacities.

For your convenience there is also a Holiday Inn hotel linked directly to the centre, 4,000 free car parking spaces, and a park and ride service into the city centre. The conference centre also has an event organisation service to see to your every need.

If your event is set to last more than a day why not make the most of the many hotels in Aberdeen that offer business facilities, so you can work, rest and play all under one roof.

The luxury Aberdeen Marriott Hotel [map] is located in the Dyce area, just five minutes from Aberdeen Airport and only six miles from the city centre. Boasting Scottish Tourist Board’s five crowns, and AA and RAC four stars, this place is renowned for superior standards, and offers a good choice of standard or executive rooms, the Clavells Restaurant, Chat’s Café Bar, and conference facilities for up to 400 delegates.

Set in seven acres of woodland, Norwood Hall [map] is a Victorian mansion that has been converted into a top class business and conference hotel. Just three miles from central Aberdeen and with extensive free car parking, this hotel makes the perfect place for work and pleasure. There are 21 en suite bedrooms to choose from, the Georgian Bar, Tapestry Dining Room, and four suites available for training courses, seminars and meetings.

Other hotels worth checking out include the Atholl Hotel [map] at Kings Gate, which has 34 bedrooms, each with Broadband Internet access, and a number of function rooms. There's also the Aberdeen Northern Hotel [map] on Great Northern Road, which is only minutes from the entertainment hub in the city centre, but also has its own ballroom, restaurant, bar, and the all-important conference facilities.
